DEATH at Casino Revél
PARTY OVERVIEW
To
pull off the party like a successful crime, you will need some premeditated planning and preparation. I've done the planning,
now it's your turn for the preparation.
You'll
need to invite your guests early enough to give them time
to pull together costumes. (sample
invitation included) There are 7 scripts included for the major players,
but you can invite as many guests as you like and assign them duties such as
card dealers, bartender, security guards, waitresses, etc.
Next
you need to plan your menu. You can serve drinks and snacks,
provide a buffet or a full course dinner. Your choice.
Decide on the size
and scope of your Casino Revél. The
number of guests and space you have to work with will influence this decision.
It can be a simple Black Jack or Poker Table in one room. Or you can set up
numerous games, a bar, etc. in several rooms. Again . . . your choice.
Pull
together any props you will need to
pull off the game. The corpse can either be a real person or a bump under a
sheet. YOU WILL NEED MONEY OR POKER CHIPS FOR CASINO PLAY (three specific prop clues are included)
When
your guests arrive, each should be
given a nametag to help the other
players to identify them up front.
The
players will also receive their personal
copies of their character instructions along with a pen for taking notes. Non-player guests should be given a notebook and pen. I strongly suggest that you print the character instructions
for each round as a separate handout and give each out at the beginning of the
next round. This eliminates the temptations to "cheat" and read
ahead. Plus it makes it easier for the hostess. Again . . . your choice. (individual character instructions included.)
